Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant (SPF SIG)
• SPF SIG Prevention Program SPF SIG is a alcohol abuse prevention program customized for Petersburg, Alaska. It is a 5 step planning process that helps guide the selection, implementation and evaluation of effective community based prevention activities.
Priorities
The project must address reduce both youth alcohol use (ages 12-20) and adult heavy and binge drinking (ages 21-44). In other words - this project is Petersburg's opportunity to design a program that works specifically for Petersburg.

Current Activity
The PMHS & AICS SPF SIG Program (under the direction of the Super Coalition) is currently in the process of administering a survey of adult behaviors and perception of alcohol use in the communities of Wrangell and Petersburg. Survey is available online.
